Ankylosaurus — The Fused Lizard

Ankylosaurus was a herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 68 to 66 million years ago. It is known for its heavily armored body, which was covered in bony plates and spines. The skull was also reinforced with bony plates and had a club-like tail that it may have used for defense. Ankylosaurus stood about 4 meters (13 ft) long and 2 meters (6.6 ft) tall and weighed around 6,000 kg (13,000 lbs). Due to its armor it was one of the most heavily protected dinosaurs.

Ankylosaurus foods

Ankylosaurus was a herbivore, which means it likely ate plants. Based on its teeth and jaw structure, scientists believe it primarily ate low-lying vegetation such as ferns and cycads. Some studies suggest that it may have also eaten tougher plant materials such as conifers and ginkgos, using its strong jaw muscles and teeth to chew through the tough material. Ankylosaurus probably used its club-like tail for defense and not foraging.

why ankylosaurus is one of the dangerous dinosaur in their Era?

Ankylosaurus is considered to be one of the most heavily armored dinosaurs, which made it one of the most well-protected dinosaurs. Its body was covered in bony plates and spines that would have been difficult for predators to penetrate. Additionally, it had a club-like tail that it could have used to deliver powerful blows to any attacker, making it a formidable opponent for any predator. The combination of its armor and weaponized tail would have made it a dangerous dinosaur for any predator to take on.
